*~DOUBLE REVIEW~* Zoey Rogue by Lizzy Ford

Zoey Rogue by Lizzy Ford

“Buffy” meets “50 Shades!”

He only needs three nights to make her his …

With more heart than sense, fearless, beautiful Zoey has saved countless college-aged women from horrifying deaths at the hands of supernatural sadists. She may be a mere half-succubus in a society that views half-breeds with derision, but she still retains the highest rescue rate of any Hunter in the Sucubatti society and possesses one of the highest levels of sex magic. Ever. So why does it matter that she has authority issues and drinks too much?

And why the hell does a sexy, irresistible and infuriating incubus suddenly appear in her life, claiming that she’s his pre-ordained soul-mate?

As the calm, disciplined leader of the Incubatti Enforcers, Declan is the polar opposite of Zoey – and the sworn enemy of her society. Forced to rescue her one night, Declan realizes two things: he doesn’t need someone as wild and independent as Zoey in his life – and he can’t live without her. Every incubus gets only one soul-mate and he’s stuck with someone just as likely to kill him as yield to his sex magic.

Neither can fight the intense attraction between them, yet trusting each other is out of the question. What will happen with their world crashes down around them?

Strike three. You’re mine.

Amy’s Review

This book for me is a 10 star book. Yea I know not normal rating but I loved it that much.

Here are some words and meaning in case you get lost reading my review. 🙂

  • Halfling– Half Succubae and half human made in a test tube. Called Hunters and kill Cambions.
  • Cambion– Half Incubus and half human. Collects sex energy.
  • Incubus and Succubus– Full blooded. Very strong and powerful with their sex magic.
  • Sucubatti– Headquarters, training grounds, and cultural and operations centers for the Succubus Society.

Zoey is a stubborn and spunky Hafling trying to lead a normal human life during the day and the life of a hunter at night. This does not work out for her. Zoey loves going out with Vikki and  killing Cambions who prey on girls in their early 20’s and collects their sex energy. They are both the best Hunters at the Sucubatti. But everything starts turning upside down for Zoey and she has no clue what to do.

“I don’t want my job to come between us.”

“Your job didn’t come between us. Several hundred men did.”

Declan is a stubborn hot as hell Incubus. One of the strongest. He has avoided Zoey (His Soul-Mate) and the rite to become joined for years but a time comes that he can no longer stay away. Declan decides to start the rite only Zoey doesn’t know it till “Strike one” is over with. Each strike makes them crave each other more. Declan is the only one that can calm Zoey’s sex energy and the sex these two have is so hot it’s crazy.

“Strike three. You’re mine,”

Declan’s brothers were awesome. They had me laughing threw out the book. I couldn’t get enough of Wes.

“If you don’t fuck him, I will. Between the two of you, my day has been hell.”

This book was amazing. Everything was perfectly paced with no slow spots and no spots to fast. The sex scenes were hot. The details perfect and everything was described so you could imagine everything. I loved the professor the most I think. He was a hoot. The ending of this book drove me nuts. I wanted so much more but guess I will be waiting for the next one. 🙂  This is Lizzy’s first book like this and I think she ROCKED it. Definitely recommend this book to everyone.

“Kitten is fitting. Adorable but clawed.”

Nicole’s Review

Oh my goodness gracious this book was absolutely fan-freakin-tastic. Every book Lizzy writes that is outside of her “norm” just gets better and better. Before I get into this review I need to remind readers this book has some explicit sexual scenes and is recommended for readers over the age of 17.

I love Zoey to death, she is spunky, carefree and a firecracker. Zoey is a Halfling who wants more than anything to be “normal” and has been in a relationship with a human for over a year. Vikki is her best friend and confidant. They are on a team of fighters that protect humans from Cambions that kill innocent human women. Zoey will make you laugh and feel for her as her life is in a constant state of change and chaos.

Now we get to the sexy Declan who is an Enforcer and Zoey’s soul-mate. Both Zoey and Declan do not in any way shape or form want to have a soul-mate. Declan has put off coming for Zoey for years while Zoey had no clue that he even existed. Declan is getting ready to become the Head of the Enforcers and must walk a fine line when it comes to the Cambions, even though Zoey wants nothing more than to kill them all.

Through this story you get to see a relationship between two stubborn people who are struggling with what their roles are. Zoey is terrific I love her personality and Declan is such a badass, but as the story continues he actually surprises you with a little bit of a softer side. The sex scenes where over the top HOT!!! and I have to say for Lizzy’s first go at writing them that graphic she did not go wrong. I highly recommend this read if you are looking for a paranormal/sexy read. Actually you need to read this book no matter what mood you are in.
