Fire Inside by Kristen Ashley

Lanie Heron isn’t looking for love—no surprise, considering her last serious relationship nearly got her killed. So when Lanie propositions Hop Kincaid, all she wants is one wild night with the hot-as-hell biker who patrols with the Chaos Motorcycle Club…

For Hop, Lanie has always been untouchable. She’s too polished and too classy for his tastes. But when she gives Hop the once-over with her bedroom eyes and offers him a night in paradise, he can’t say no. And he doesn’t regret it when he finds that Lanie is the best thing that’s ever happened to him—in or out of bed. Now the trick will be to convince her of that.

Nicole’s Review ~

This was a fantastic read that I will definitely be reading again. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because for me it was missing a little too much of the crazy drama I have found to love when reading a KA book. Do not get me wrong there was a crazy amount of drama but it was not the all out that I love.

This book starts out with Hopper partying it up at Chaos and Lanie approaching him to have a one night stand. Hop does and says as much as he can to keep that from happening because although Lanie is sex kitten to the max he does not want to take advantage of her, her friendship with Tyra of his brother Tack. Of course he can not resist the beautiful Lanie (who can blame him). This one night is not enough for either one of them, but Lanie has huge walls built up around her and does not want to get close to anyone.

Lanie has these walls because he deceased fiancée was a stupid man who got himself killed when he started working for the Russian Mob. Not only that but he also got Lanie shot and Tyra kidnapped. Hop also has an ex-wife Mitzi that has thrown him for a loop. If you really want to get into the full backstory you need to read Motorcycle Man.

Hop wants Lanie more than anything and he is willing to do whatever he has to in order to gain her trust. Lanie wants Hop just as badly but refues to let herself depend on anyone. Lanie is carrying around guilt for the choices she has made in life. All Hop wants is for her to let it go. Throughout the story we get a little bit of Tack’s knowledge and Tyra’s love and support.

As the story continues secrets are kept and put a strain on everyone’s relating ships and threaten to destroy a love. There is also the drug dealer, pimp Benito that makes an appearance is this book and he is trying to take Chaos ground. Hop, Tack and the rest of the brothers are trying to push back, but as always there is a fine line to walk and they are all worried for their families.

I am super excited with how the Chaos series is going to go and can not wait for the next book. I highly recommend this book. Take the time and read Own the Wind and Motorcycle Man before picking this up. It is not a must but it will definitely give you a little more of the history you need.
