She thought she knew love……
He thought he never wanted love…..
Together they will show each other what they can’t live without.
Let me start off with saying this book absolutely deserves more then 5 stars. This book ROCKED! All I can really say about this book is WOW. Let me say that again. WOW. This is definitely one of my favorites now and I pray that a book two comes out because I really really need to know what happens with Slade and Sam. This book was abso-freaking-lutely AMAZING!!!
I could not put this down at all. I ignored everything I possibly could while reading this and even carried my Kindle to a Dr.’s appointment just so I could read some more. I love this couple and the other characters in the book. Well of course all but Jax. He can rot in Hell for all I care. I absolutely hated him.
Anyways…. Everything Sam went threw in this book was completely understandable and believable. Everything fell into place perfectly and nothing was rushed or pushed to the side. I wish she got a little madder with Jax but I can understand how she decided not to let it get to her. So many emotions played threw me while reading this. I laughed, cried, was happy, sad, pissed, aggravated, and the list goes on. I felt everything with these characters.
Slade is now one of my new book boyfriends. To see his life completely change was amazing. To find he could be sweet and romantic and even cry was refreshing. I believe guys can honestly change if they honestly want to. I believed everything with Slade. His thoughts were so touching and to watch him struggle with something he has never done before was sad but he did a awesome job for it being his first.
I really hated when this book ended. I kept checking the page numbers because I wanted it to go on and on. Please Shantel Tessier let there be another book. I can’t beg like Sam but I will surely do my best. 🙂 I really want to know how everything moves forward with them.
This is a must buy and one I will love to add to my bookshelf in paperback.

Now or Never by A.J. Bennett
Publication date: June 19th 2013
Genre: New Adult Contemporary
Twenty-one year old Grayson Alexander finally breaks away from an abusive relationship and finds herself free for the first time in three years.
Determined to enjoy her new-found freedom, Grayson is intent on sticking with ‘no strings attached’ relationships—one-night stands, and steamy sex.
But she didn’t plan on Derrick.
Her attraction to the sexy man in uniform quickly turns into an unhealthy relationship. They both try to resist the pull, but neither can stay away.
When tragedy strikes, Grayson realizes it’s now or never—walk away or make it work.
Why was she acting like an idiot? He was just a guy; he probably didn’t even give her another thought after their brief eye gaze exchange.
Once she got her drink, she made her way to the cream and sugar stand to grab a napkin and hightail it out of there. Grayson turned to leave and slammed into a solid wall of muscle.
Coffee spilled on her hand and down the front of his black T-shirt. As she held the remains of her coffee out of harms way, her chest pressed firmly against his. Horrified, she lifted her gaze.
He cupped her elbows with both hands and steadied her, his startling green eyes ringed with gold swept over her. Then he reached around her, grabbed a napkin, and wiped the hot coffee off her hand. She caught herself giving him the once over while she had his gaze elsewhere; he was so hot, his dark red hair was so fitting to his rugged facial features.
Grayson mumbled something that didn’t sound like English. Her breath caught at her throat as she took in his powerful frame: his legs were slightly parted and his faded jeans clung to his muscular thighs. His T-shirt was stretched over his broad shoulders.
He smiled instantly softening his hard face. “Why don’t you come and sit down with me?”
He tilted his head towards his seat, “The cafe is full. You can share my table.”
All she did was make eye contact with the guy, and now he thought that gave him the right to invite her to sit down? She’d clearly been in a relationship way too long, because she had no idea how to react to his question. A part of her was curious about this man who made her heart rate speed up with just a glance, but a much bigger part of her wanted to turn and run. She just got out of one relationship; she wasn’t about to start another the moment she drove into town. Besides, she’d always heard two redheads were a disaster waiting to happen.
No thanks, she thought, I have had enough disaster in my life for at least five more years.
Although, her mother claims she’s only half redhead, the other half light blonde. So maybe it would only be half a disaster?
Snap out of it Grayson, she thought, trying to get her shit together and not look like a blabbering idiot.
“I can’t. I have to meet my family. But thanks for the offer.” Grayson tried to step by him, but he widened his stance and blocked her.
“Can I at least give you my number?”
Oh my God, Grayson thought, this guy was persistent. He was hot as hell, but come on.
“Do you hit on every girl who walks through the door?” Grayson asked with a little attitude in her voice; she couldn’t let another man gain the upper hand on her so fast.
He laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and she wondered how old he was. “Not all of them.”
About the Author
Cassie Gambol is on the run. In what seems like another lifetime, her ex-husband nearly ended her life and effectively ended her successful career as a vascular surgeon. But even though the justice system found him guilty of attempted murder, he fled while awaiting sentencing and Carly Sunderland became Cassie Gambol. Fleeing Los Angeles, she heads to small and off the map Petal, Georgia to start her life again.
Shane Chase, a man whos held himself away from commitment since his fiance dumped him several years before knows the beautiful newcomer is hiding something. He’s wildly attracted to her strength and her underlying vulnerability as well. But the last thing Cassie wants is another big, overwhelming man who wants to control her life.
A battle begins between Shane, who knows what he wants and Cassie, who tries to keep a distance between herself and the very handsome sheriff. But Cassies ex is back and he wants her dead.
Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, graphic language, some violent situations.
Fantastic read, through the first book in this series you already had the chance to get to know Shane Chase this book gives you an even better look at Petal’s Sheriff. I absolutely loved getting to know Shane better, his heart was broken by an ex that he caught having an affair with his supposed best friend. Poor man, at the same time you hate him because now he trust no women and kind of goes through them like water. That is until he meets feisty Cassie and he sees that not all women are cheating heart breakers.
Cassie’s story will have you near tears and want to hug her and tell her how absolutely strong and beautiful she is. Be warn what Cassie has gone through is down right awful and truly scary because many a women have lived through it. Cassie is instantly attracted to Shane but is so intimidated by his size that she completely discounts him as someone she would be willing to move in with. Luckily the Vhase brother, Maggie, Polly, Liv and a new addition if Penny they convince her that Shane is worth the shot.
I can not tell you how many times I fiound myself chuckling at the things these characters would say. I absolutely adore the southern charm and family values. Through Shane and Cassie’s relationship these things help guide them to the happiness they both want and deserve. Unfortunately Cassie’s past is not ready to let her move in so quickly. As Cassie’s past and present collide together you are on the edge of your seat wondering how it is all gonna end.
I highly recommend d this read if you are looking fr a badass Alpha Sheriff, a sweet yet feisty woman, and lots of love, friendship, loads of steamy scenes and a little dash of suspense. Don’t wait pick this up, though it is the second in the series you can read this by itself but I would recommend starting with the first you don’t want to miss any of these Chase brothers.
You can pick Taking Chase up here on Amazon.
Together they find a special love-can it survive the threat stalking her?
Some small towns grow really good looking men! This is the case with the four Chase brothers. The home grown hotties are on the wishlist of every single woman in town and Maggie Wright is no exception.
Maggie has finally had it with the men she’s been dating but a spilled plate of chili cheese fries drops Shane Chase right into her lap. The sheriff is hot stuff but was burned by a former fiancee and is quite happy to play the field.
After Shane’s skittishness sends him out the door, Maggie realizes that Kyle Chase has had his eye on her from the start. Now that Shane has messed up, Kyle has no intention of letting anything stop him from wooing her right into his bed.
Despite Maggie’s happiness and growing love with Kyle, a dark shadow threatens everything-she’s got a stalker and he’s not happy at all. In the end, Maggie will need her wits, strength and the love of her man to get her out alive.
I have to start out by saying I love me some southern men!!!! The way they treat a woman is so amazing I wish I could steal Kyle Chase right out of this book. Maggie is a beautiful young lady who didn’t grow up with the nicest of families. Her mother and sister dragged her down and made her feel less attractive. The Chase Brothers uh yummy is a mild understatement. They are four fantastic looking men and family is their number one priority.
We start the book with Maggie and her two best friend having drinks at the local bar to gossip and stare at those Chase Brithers. Maggie has an incident with the oldest Shane and surprises everyone with her witty charm. All the brothers take notice. Maggie is seeing a young man who seems to keep her on edge whenever they are alone. He has a possessive streak that she does not like whatsoever.
Listening to Maggie’s home life unravel your heartbreaks for her and you wanna go and kick her mommy’s ass. Kyle Chase sees what he wants for his life in Maggie and sets forth to make her his. Polly Chase the boys momma is absolutely hilarious and warm that you really wish she was your momma. The brothers ban together to help Maggie when she gains a stalker and becomes in danger.
Kyle and Maggie’s romance is so sweet and tender. They both are new to serious commitments and to watch them fall for one another is beautiful. I can not stress what a good read this is. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for sweet romance that’s funny and has a bit of creepy suspense.

Due to sexual content and language, this book is recommended for 17+ – Adult Contemporary Women’s – New Adult Fiction
This book was recommended to me by my blogger partner, Nicole. I am so glad she told me about this book because I abso-freaking-lutely loved this book. This book deserves 10 stars and I think the rating system should go higher then five stars.
This book is about Camryn who is a sweet girl that feels trapped by everyday life. She doesn’t want to do the same things everyday like every other person in the world. So she decides to set out on a trip. Taking a bus to Idaho. While on the bus she meets Andrew. Andrew is on the bus heading to see his dad in the hospital who is dying from a brain tumor. Andrew who is hot as can be ends up watching out for Camryn and they become bus friends till his stop. When they reach Andrews final stop he leaves and Camryn waits for her next bus.
This is when things start happening. Andrew is an amazing man who protects Camryn while they are together. I loved taking the trip with Camryn and Andrew threw this book. Loved all the details of how everything happened. I love how Andrew finally gets Camryn to open up and be herself and forces her to vocalize what she wants. There is steamy sex and really sweet moments threw this whole book. You will need tissues towards the end of the book. Take my word on that. These two are honestly one of the cutest couples I have read this year. This has become a favorite and is a book I could and will read over and over again.
If you have not read this book then you should definitely pick it up. This one will have you sucked in from page one and you will not be able to put it down till the last page. Truly an outstanding book. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
About the Author
J.A. Redmerski, New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of THE EDGE OF NEVER lives in North Little Rock, Arkansas with her three children and a Maltese. She is a lover of television and books that push boundaries and is a huge fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
When Mandy loses her job, she thinks she’s hit rock bottom – until her plane is swallowed by a strange storm that sends her and everyone else on board 10,000 years into the future. At first, she thinks the scary world is nothing more than a bad dream. The war-torn Earth is unrecognizable. Black fog blocks the sun, and the oceans are dry. Even worse: the planet is inhabited by half-human, half-alien creatures dying from a mysterious disease. Horrified at the thought of spending her life here, she clings to the knowledge that there’s one man who can open the star gate to send her home.
As the Naki prince who controls the star gate, Akkadi gets first choice of any human female that makes her way through the star gate. Only by breeding with purebred humans from the past can his race hope to remain immune to the disease and hopefully, develop an eventual cure. With shrinking resources and a raging battle for the human planet, dutiful, commanding Akkadi is less than thrilled at the idea of trying to figure out Mandy, a woman he views as wild with neither discipline nor respect for someone in his position.
He’s ready to write her off, when she offers him something too tempting to resist: her body for the chance to convince him by any means possible to send her home. Neither intends for the arrangement to be permanent or to fall for the other. Only when Mandy learns Akkadi’s secret and walks away does he realize he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her – even if it means losing his war.
This book was fantastic, what I loved the most was from the first page I was drawn in; I felt like I was a part of the book and going through everything that was happening to Mandy. It was almost as if I really wasn’t getting into the book but I realized it was because Lizzy did such a great job that I felt like I was in the same dream state as Mandy.
The story as a whole is a little different than what I am use to when reading Lizzy Ford books, but that is what makes it so great too. It breaks up the monotony of reading the same style book over and over again. The book starts with a recently fired model Mandy is on an airplane heading home to L.A.. This is were the story gets a little trippy and you are wondering if you yourself are having some crazy flashback…LOL. Mandy awakens in a totally funky room where nothing appears to be normally, there is no reason for why things are the way they are. She encounters “alien” type creatures and just keeps telling herself that she will wake up soon and be on the airplane heading home.
Her first encounter complete wierds her out and just to move onto an even weird incident. Lizzy did an amazing job describing this “dreamscape”/Mandy’s new reality. I love when I am able to truly get a feel for what things are suppose to look like from the authors description and this book had that. Mandy is sent to Akkadi to give him “energy cells” little does she know that she is suppose to end up being the mate of Akkadi. In this realm at this time there is a crazy plague that only purebred humans can fix and Akkadi royal family is suppose to mate with said purereds.
Akkadi is a very logical man who is part Naki and part human who has taught himself how to shut off his emotions. Mandy on the other hand is pure human and runs completely off of her emotions. When these two interact the chemistry is hot. Akkadi is keeping a secret from Mandy that can destroy all of her hopes and dreams of what she thinks is happening. Mandy is dead set on going home and living this crazy plague time. Deals are made through many characters of this book, people are manipulated and lied to in order to gain what they want. Poor Mandy and her human “friend” Cesar are at the mercy of all the royal family.
Akkadi has always chosen duty over everything else but this time he is questioning that decision, unfortunately his duty is prevailing and Mandy is left hanging or so she believes. There is a great fight brewing and you are left wondering who is going to win until the very end. There was no part during reading that I felt I knew what was going to happen or became bored, I just knew I had to know what Akkadi was going to decide and if Mandy would make it home or not. This is currently a stand alone novel so there is no cliffhanger the story is wrapped up. But if there was to be another book I would not complain there are many great characters in this book and I would love to read about their lives.
I highly recommend this book to anyone over the age of 17. There is not a lot of steamy scenes but the ones that are there are not meant for little eyes.
This books was great. I never really read Sci-fi books but this is one I will be reading over. I am a huge Lizzy Ford fan and I love all her books. I have not found one that was not amazing.
Mandy is a beautiful model. On her way home her airplane gets sucked threw a warm hole. She doesn’t remember much but there are plenty of people that help her and plenty of people that want her for her purebred human blood. She fights threw this book to stay alive and not to fall for the one Naki Prince that has saved her so many times.
Akkadi is the Naki Prince. Naki is half human and half Naki. He needs to find a mate and even though Mandy is beautiful he thinks they are not compatible. All Mandy wants to do is go home and since Akkadi is one of three people that can open a star gate she tries to convince him to send her home. Only thing is it takes a lot of energy cells to do that. If he sends her home it could put him behind for finding the cure to the plague.
Cesar is a big man that was sitting next to Mandy on the plane. He is spunky and I really enjoyed reading out him. Urik is a half human on the planet fighting for the rest of the humans. I liked him at first but then after a certain point all I could think was that sneaky little bastard. But apparently I am alone on this thought. Everyone seems to love him. Haha. There are a few other characters that I hate but you have to have a bad guy. I really enjoyed everything about this book. As I was reading I really couldn’t tell who Mandy was going to end up with. I had a feeling who but was never sure. The ending was good but I just wish there was more to it. If you are a Lizzy Ford fan or you like Sci-fi romances then you should definitely get this book. If you are just looking for something new and different this book is for you.

But whose wish will be granted? When Cinderella’s glass slipper is stolen, Queen Felicia sends her faithful steward Terrance to the real world to retrieve his love and witch-in-training, Bianca Frost. Together, Bianca, Ming, Prince Ferdinand, and Terrance venture deep into the heart of Everafter to seek clues as to who has stolen the slipper and why. Along the way, they uncover what happened to the Seven Dwarves after Snow White married the prince, but also learn the awful risk of tampering with black magic and the high price that must be paid for magical aid, even when used for good.
Bianca and Terrance’s relationship is put to the test. Through the pain of suffering and loss, Bianca must determine if following her gallant boyfriend into his faraway world is in fact her heart’s desire.
Glass Frost is the second book in the Frost Series.
Bianca turned around, ready to leave the Fairy Realm, defeated and with no answers when something hit her. What if Fanny could understand her questions regardless of what the queen thought? What was the harm in asking? Bianca shrugged and turned back toward Fanny. Terrance put a hand on her shoulder and tried to stop her. His eyes widened, with a look he asked her what she was doing. She patted his hand and walked away, convinced that what she was about to do was right.
“What does she think she’s doing?” Titania asked.
Bianca hesitated for a moment, worried about what the queen would do to her. But Titania remained still, almost as if she was as curious as everyone else to see how Fanny would react to Bianca.
Fanny danced around Bianca as though she were invisible. She just twirled and giggled as though someone had told a funny joke.
Why won’t she see me? Am I invisible to her?
“Hello,” Bianca cried. She touched Fanny on the elbow, hoping deep inside to make a connection. A flash of light blinded her momentarily, and she felt an electric current race through her body. The power from that knocked Bianca on the floor on her rear end.
Fanny miraculously stopped. She remained silent at first. Then she turned her dark brown eyes at Bianca. They held so much sorrow and pain.
“Fanny, can you hear me?” Bianca asked.
“Yes,” she replied. Her eyes widened in surprise, as though she was amazed that she was still able to use her voice.
Fanny then gagged. She got on all fours and heaved until a single white rose passed through her lips. The flower was covered with bile and saliva as it fell heavily on the ground.
Bianca sat beside Fanny, her hand hovering over her shoulder precariously. She was scared of what else would happen should she touch Fanny once more.
“I’m so sorry. I forgot that it would cause you pain to speak.”
Fanny looked into Bianca’s eyes. She shrugged and gave Bianca a sad smile.
“My name is Bianca. Those are my friends over there, Ming, Terrance, and Prince Ferdinand. We’re all here because we need your help.”
