Dog Mountain is just like any other small town — peaceful and uneventful. Well, that is if peaceful means wolves howling all night, and uneventful means it’s overrun by pesky werewolves, then yes, Dog Mountain is just your average small town.
Jade Shaw has spent the last two years avoiding the pack. But when Aidan Collins moves to town, avoiding the dogs doesn’t seem possible. The pack wants him just as much as she does.
Determined to keep him out of the pack’s grasp, Jade does everything she can to gain his attention. Little does she know, Aidan is in deeper with the pack than she could have imagined, and competing for his attention is a deadly game, one she may not want to win.

Deadly Crush is only the third werewolf book I have read. I just recently started reading them thanks to a friend. The reason I had never read them before is because I was worried I wouldn’t like them. I can love paranormal but there are bound to be some things in this genre that I don’t care for. Yes, I have come across one thing that just wasn’t for me. So, since werewolf was such a big thing in paranormal I was scared to read one and find out that I didn’t like them.
Well, I can say that I am now thankful to my friend for getting me to read one. Now I feel like I am hooked. When I picked up this book I had no clue what it was about. (I suck at reading the synopsis for a book 😀 ) From the moment I started reading Deadly Crush I was hooked.
I started last night and stayed up as late as I could reading every little bit I could. I didn’t want to put it down. I woke this morning ready to read more. I had to read more. I needed to find out what happened. Needed to know how it would all end. (Apparently with a cliffhanger. Lol)
I loved Jade from the start. I loved her spunkiness. I loved her smart mouth and the quick come backs. I have admitted before that I love a female character that are strong and stand up for themselves. I love females that are smart mouth and don’t take crap. This girl was awesome.
Dom I really hated. He drove me nuts and I understood why Jade felt the way she did towards him. He deserved anything that came from her.
Aiden…. Now there was one with a mix of feelings. I loved him, hated him, loved him, and hated him again. Ending with really loving him. He was a new Alpha. One that in my eyes had no idea what the freak he was doing. The way he treated Jade. How things all played out. My heart broke at the end. Seriously broke. 😦
The book was amazing. The story line never had a dull moment. For me nothing was rushed at all and nothing was played out slowly. There was always something happening that kept my heart close to racing as I tried to figure out what happened next. This is a must read. A definite recommendation. A go get it NOW type of book. If you love werewolves and a good story then make sure to grab this one.

I was asked if I would read this book and write a review and I said “SURE – I love to read!!!”
When I started the book, I was a little skeptical. But once I got into the book, I realized that this was another one of those “I just can’t put this book down” type books!!!
Rhianna McLeod (a nurse) who gets a job taking care of J.T. Lance (an elderly billionaire who has been given 6 months to live). As a gift for her birthday, J.T. sends Rhianna to the Bahamas for a much needed vacation. Rhianna heads to the Bahamas but finds that she is staying on a remote island and not at a lush resort. She finds out that Jonathan is the owner of the island and literally falls in love with him and his daughter (Misty).
I don’t want to say much more because I do NOT want to give the story away!! BUT – I can suggest that you read it and enjoy the outcome.

Release Date: December 17th, 2013
Sometimes love burns so hot in your veins that it consumes
all rational thought.
That’s why Brock and I never had a chance. I had to start my life over. College was my
chance to become someone new. I changed everything about myself to fit in, but
one person saw through my facade.
The attraction between Abel and I was undeniable, but I
still hadn’t healed from the painful secret I carried around with me. Abel
struggled to get me to face my past in order to move forward. In doing so, he
revealed a secret of his own; one that changed everything I thought I knew.
A secret that would bring Brock back into my life and force
me to face the truth of what really happened the day I lost him.

Lets start with the fact that I was asked to do a spoiler free review. I would like to think I always do spoiler free but I can’t be positive. 🙂 So this review might be a little rough around the edges as I try to stay away from things I think might be a spoiler.
This book by far surpasses a five star rating. While reading this book my nerves were on end. It was like sitting on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Perfect Lie definitely keeps you on your toes and always seems to go in the direction that is not expected.
Delilah (Lie)- oh how I loved her at times and disliked her at other times. Very sweet girl that just seemed to be lost through the whole book. Maybe even a little confused at times. At some spots during the book I didn’t know how I should feel about her. At times I felt bad for her but didn’t know why exactly because that secret was spilled to the end.
Abel- What a weird name that is. 🙂 But one that I really like. One minute I was in love with him and the next I hated his guts. OMG. Some of the things that happened really made me want to jump in the book and beat the crap out of him. I think for half the book I had an extreme dislike to him. But of course, as always, I fell for him hard.
Trish- I hated this girl with every fiber of my being. She drove me nuts. I couldn’t stand her or anything about her. Ugh, I can’t even say anything about her that would be remotely nice.
I can’t really go into what happened in the Perfect Lie because honestly I think even the smallest tidbit would give something away. Let me just say that this book will turn out to be something that you do not expect. I know I surely didn’t. I will tell you that my heart raced for most of the book and I couldn’t put it down because I had to figure out what the hell happened.
I love all of Teresa Mummert’s books and like all her others this does not disappoint. This is a must read and one you will not regret. Way different then a lot of books out now. Will definitely be recommending this book to everyone.

“I was a Russian spy at the ripe age of thirteen, given my uncanny ability to tell if someone was lying ( I also read fortunes on the weekends). By sixteen I had become too much of a handful for the Lethal Intelligence Ensemble (L.I.E.). I was quickly exiled to the south of France where I worked with wayward elephants in the Circus of Roaming Animals and People (C.R.A.P.). I was able to make ends meet by selling my organs on the black market for pocket change and beer money. At the age of twenty three I decided to expand my horizons and become a blackjack dealer in Ireland. I loved the family atmosphere at Barney’s Underground Liquor Lounge (B.U.L.L.). People couldn’t resist the allure of Liquor up front and poker in the rear. Eventually I became tired of the rear and headed off to the United States to try my hand at tall tales. That is what brings us here today. If you have a moment I’d like to tell you a story.

I love two men. I screw two men. I am in a relationship with them both, and they are both aware there is another. That is all they need to know, that is all I let them know. They don’t need to know a name; they don’t need to know anything but that they are not alone in my heart.
They have accepted the situation. Stewart, because his life is too busy for the sort of obligations that are required in a relationship. Paul, because he loves me too much to tell me no. And because my sexual appetite is such that one man has trouble keeping up.
So we exist, two parallel relationships, each running their own course, with no need for intersection or conflict. It works for us, for them, and for me. I don’t expect it to be a long-term situation. I know there is an expiration date on the easy perfection of our lives.
I should have paid more attention, should have looked around and noticed the woman who watched it all. She sat in the background and waited, tried to figure me out. Saw my two relationships, the love between us, and the moment that it all fell apart.
She hates me.
I don’t even know she exists.
She loves them. I love them.
And they love me.
EVERYTHING else hangs in the balance.
WOW!! Not many books can make me say that. Not many books make me feel what this one did especially after the book was over. This book had me from the beginning. Then again how could it not. A girl dating two men at the same time AND they know about each other. That grabbed me from the get go because I had to see not only how that worked but how it ended.
Madison being a beautiful girl who loves sex not in a slutty way catches the heart of Stewart. Someone who Madison will not become exclusive with because he puts his job first. So he tells her to find a boyfriend and in comes Paul. So over the course of two years she falls in love with both of them.
Stewart is HOT. Alpha male with a great job and body. Lets not forget amazing in bed. His only down fall…. He’s married to his job. His job comes first and there is only time to see Madison once or twice a week. He loves her and understands she wont come second to his job and also understand her love for sex so he tells her to find a boyfriend for when he can’t be there. What a dip shit. (sorry)
So then there is Paul. He is a sweet surfer. Also hot in a boy next door type with a great body and also good in bed. He knows about Stewart but he loves Madison so he deals with it. The other relationship doesn’t get talked about between the two. But he knows there are nights she will go to Stewart.
Now let me tell you. I love Paul. I honestly do. But I am 100% a Stewart fan. I LOVE Stewart. I hoped he would do things differently through the whole book. Prayed he would change his ways. I wanted Stewart and Madison to end up together. Why? To be honest I have no clue. Just something about Stewart (no not his money) called to me. There was just something there that I can’t put my finger on. Paul is great but to me Stewart is better.
So needless to say I was a little disappointed about the ending. I was even hoping for an unfortunate death to happen to a certain someone so that another ending could happen. So sad it didn’t happen the way I wanted. So enough about how I wanted things to go. I think this book was great. I absolutely loved it. I did see someone refer to Fifty Shades of Grey and I have to say that this is no where near a FSoG book. I’m not sure what the person meant with the reference but I got nothing similar between them. This book to me was on a different scale compared to Fifty.
Now for those people who can’t read a book that has mistakes.. Full warning. This book has mistakes. Not enough to take away from the story but to me they were noticeable.
I will definitely be recommending this book. Ha I already have to a friend of mine before I even finished the book. That’s how good it is. A must buy.

Tilly Chalmers’ new job as a researcher for a major TV star is turning out to be more eventful than she ever expected. Always on the lookout for a high rating story for her famous boss, she tangles with adult movie stars, and the man who inspired a couple of blood-thirsty young murderers. An unwelcome encounter with a long-time enemy stirs up trouble, and what important decision does Heller make that threatens to jeopardise their relationship?
Heller #1 (*FREE*)
Heller’s Revenge #2
Heller’s Girlfriend #3
Heller’s Punishment #4
Book 5 in the Heller’s series. I absolutely love this series. J.D. Nixon has a way of making you laugh until you cry. This is what started it for me:
“He staggered to his feet, holding out his hand to haul me up as well. But he didn’t make it upright. His feet slid out from under him as he tried to stand, both the bathroom floor and his soles covered in massage oil. He fell on his butt inelegantly, arms and legs everywhere. A fit of laughter, which soon had me choking for more air, consumed meat the sight.”
If you have read a Heller book then you would know the sight of Heller falling is enough to bring me to tears. But that was only the start. As you keep reading after that part above it gets funnier. I laughed so much with tears rolling down my face.
Tilly. How I love that woman. She is funny, sweet, smart, and quick at comebacks. Trouble follows her everywhere she goes. Seriously. Even though you expect trouble by now while reading you can’t help but to keep going to find out what crazy crap happens to her next. I love her character and these books would not be the same without her.
“Can’t you wiggle over to me?”
“I’m not some kind of maggot!”
Heller. What to say about this beast. Tall, sexy, gorgeous, powerful, successful, but not the brightest when it comes to American things. He has an accent that would melt anyone’s panties. But is not accustomed to a lot of American things which ends him with saying some wrong things at the wrong times, therefor pissing Tilly off. But he loves her. They only way he knows how. It is evident in this book.
“My intentions? I intend to have sex with Matilda as often as possible.”
Never a dull moment with these two. Then there is Daniel and Niq. I absolutely love these two. Daniel is so sweet and caring but has a very bad past and certain things that have happened make him very guarded. Niq being the youngest is so sweet and I absolutely adore both of them.
Clive. Now Clive scares the hell out of me probably as much as Tilly. I really wish one of these books he would loosen up some. I don’t exactly get why he dislikes Tilly so much. Maybe I forgot since it has been awhile since I have read the other books. But even with him there are no dull moments.
“And I guess that was about as much praise as I could ever expect from him in a lifetime. He unexpectedly slapped me on the back, in what he probably thought was a friendly, congratulatory manner, but which sent me stumbling forward. I tripped over one of the men’s bloody-huge sized boots into a different man. He staggered backwards, falling across a desk and I toppled on to him in a very compromising position.”
Bick I love dearly. Him and Hugh are two of my favorites. I feel for Hugh who has feelings for Tilly. I kinda always hoped that Tilly would end up with him. I do like Heller but for a happy ending that I think Tilly deserves that Hugh would be the more logical choice. I get the hype of Heller but I really like Hugh.
Again, I absolutely love this series. I would highly recommend to everyone who is looking for a series with some good laughs. Now I just have to wait for the next one to come out. Hopefully soon.
