Amy’s Review:

5 STARS!!!!!

“Oh, my beauty. Your mother melted when I burped.”

As I’ve gone through each book in this series I have fallen in love with every character that Jessica Wilde has wrote about. But from the very beginning in Leverage when I got my first glimpse of Liam I declared he was my favorite and that I officially had a crush on an older man. Liam stole my breath from the first time he appeared. He has been my favorite through every single book even though I was just getting small parts of him. That is until Protector. I was antsy with anticipation to start Protector so that I could get more of the man that I fell head over heels for. Jessica Wilde did not disappoint.

“Tears don’t belong on a face so beautiful.”

**Sigh**

In Protector the story still continues with the family after Missing. Everything is still moving about as normal but we get flash backs of when Liam is remembering Isabelle/Izzy. We get to see the struggles they both went through when they first met so long ago in Ireland. The hardship that Izzy was so brave to pull herself out off. It was a struggle but she did it. The love that these two shared through this whole book is astonishing.  To watch Liam remember his wife not only in the past but in the present brought happiness and tears to my eyes. It gave me full body chills. These two were a match made in heaven. She truly lives on in her kids and shines through with every action they do.

One of my favorite parts during Protector is when Ash went into labor.

The sound of liquid splashing made every pair of eyes drop down to the area of wood floor beneath Ash.

Gus and Con practically jumped away clinging to each other with expressions or horror on their faces.

“Umm, Ash. You just peed,” Gus pointed out, looking pale and terrified. Liam wanted to smack him in the back of the head like everyone had over the years.

“It’s not pee, you moron!” Ash shouted. “My water just broke.”

Gus and Con never seem to disappoint in any book. They will make you laugh even with tears pouring down your face. Emily and Aiden are amazing in Protector too and I hope that the author decides to write more about this family so I can see where they end up.

“I wish with all my heart that I could have met her.”

“You already have, love. Conall is a part of her and the way he loves you comes from Isabelle herself.”

Protector had my emotions all over the place. One minute I would be laughing, then I would be crying and then smiling. I probably cried through at least half of this book. Yes, I said HALF so make sure to have tissues around. I’m probably just being a cry baby, but I really connected with this series and I couldn’t help but feel all the emotions they did. This series is an attention grabbing, heart racing, soul searing, tear chasing, love soaring, family embracing kinda series.

Review: Missing (The Brannock Siblings Book 3) by Jessica Wilde

There are two things in this life that Gus Brannock truly loves; his family and his job. His family is growing and he wants what his brother and sister have before the job he’s worked so hard for takes its toll. The woman he’s got his eye on, however, isn’t interested in being with a man who risks his life every day. When the unexpected friendship with the sassy red head he used to hate turns into something Gus just doesn’t want to live without, he will do whatever it takes to have her. The hazards of his job as a detective for missing children may end up proving to be too much, but there’s a reason Aiden was brought into his life and nothing will stand in his way to keep her there.

Aiden Murphy used to hate the handsome jerk next door until a surprising discovery spun her world in another direction. Her life of devotion to her sister and niece has been her biggest strength with the exception of her art. That is, until Gus turns out to be the one thing that has been missing from that life all along. Aiden must decide if the unknown is worth the risk of loving the dedicated detective or if being pulled into his world is more than she can handle. When Gus becomes the only way for her to keep the people she loves most safe, will she understand why he treasures her untried strength or will she let her fear of the unknown decide for her?

For readers 18+ due to strong language and sexual situations.

Amy’s Review:

5 STARS!!!!!

Wow! I loved every minute of this amazing book. Gus is hot, sweet, sexy, and a smart ass. Reading about him and Aiden going back and forth at the beginning had me laughing so hard. I loved the banter and pranks between them. Aiden/Red is a smart and sassy firecracker. She’s quick on her comebacks and is perfect for Gus. Watching these two grow closer together even with a bump in the road was fun. I even teared up a few times. I loved these two. There was one part during the story that had my heart exploding and putting Gus above his brothers on my favorites list. He is absolutely amazing.

I love the Brannock family. They are awesome. When someone is in trouble they all come running without question. They hold their family above anything else and they welcome people with open arms. I can’t wait to read Protector to see what happens next.

I have to admit that the Epilogue killed me. Tears poured out of my eyes as I read it. And I don’t know why because believe me it wasn’t sad, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Liam.

Review: Conned (The Brannock Siblings Book 2) by Jessica Wilde

Conall Brannock takes his job seriously. He doesn’t get attached, he doesn’t ask questions, and he protects his family at all costs. Nothing will change that. Not even the sweet, green eyed witness that just burst into his life and shifted his world. He has one job to do; protect Emily until she can testify. He can’t let his interest in her get in the way, but the more he finds out about her, the more he can’t help but wonder how the beautiful broken girl got into this mess in the first place. And the longer he takes to learn the truth, the deeper he falls for her.

Emily Dawson has a job to do. Stay off the grid, testify, and hopefully get her brother back. He’s all she has left of the family she struggled so hard to hold together and she would do anything to keep him safe. Even if it means she has put herself in harm’s way or that she has conned everyone into believing she saw something she didn’t. She knows where her loyalties lie, but her stoic yet gentle protector and his crazy family makes her question everything she once knew.

Loyalty can be one sided.
Family isn’t always blood.
And honesty can destroy everything she has come to love.

For readers 18+ due to strong language and sexual content.

Amy’s Review:

5 STARS!!!!!

Holy hell! Jessica Wilde is killing me with these men. Conned was more intense than Leverage and I wasn’t sure that was possible. I’m still loving the dad though. Lol.

Conall and Emily. I just finished reading this and I’m not sure I can get my thoughts together. I absolutely loved these two. Conall might possibly be better than Lucas from Leverage and I really thought no one would top him. But Conall definitely does. He has the same going for him as Lucas. Hot, sweet, smart, caring and good at his job. But there is just something about him that pulled me in so deeply into the book. I couldn’t stop reading. Couldn’t get enough of him.

Emily is a sweet girl who is just trying to look out for her brother. He gets her mixed up in some crazy shit and gets her to do things for him. Of course she’s smart and knows it’s wrong but wants to help her brother out. Her only family left. I really felt for her. I couldn’t imagine going through what she did. A lot of parts during this book ripped my heart out and a lot made me want to explode with happiness. My emotions will be out of wack for a while.

When these two finally come together I swear it was earth shattering. Of course the first thought I had was “Finally!” but it was so much more than that. I could feel the tension with these two. It was driving me nuts. Emily definitely has better self control because I would have jumped on him a lot sooner. Ha ha!

I have only ever had the urge to peak at the ending one other time before I started reading this series. With the first two it was a constant struggle with myself not to do it. Just to prepare myself for what would happen. There is so much suspense and mystery on top of the crazy emotions already going on. I am loving these Brannock men and am excited to see what will happen in the next book with Gus Gus.

This series is a MUST read!!!

Review: Leverage (The Brannock Siblings Book 1) by Jessica Wilde

Adventure. That’s all Aislinn ‘Ash’ Brannock wanted in her life. Her dad and two brothers – all cops – got to see it all, but their over-protectiveness made her feel like she had been locked away in a tower with three fire breathing dragons watching her every move. Yes, it was that bad. The only silver lining? Lucas Shade. Her brothers’ best friend growing up, and apparently the only man she will ever love because let’s face it, none of the others even come close. After an unfortunate mistake lands her back in her father’s home, her world is turned upside down and Lucas is there in a tightly wrapped package of serious with a big red bow on top. Life just got interesting, but it comes with a price, one she never wanted to pay.

Detective Lucas Shade never had a real family, but the Brannocks took him in as one of their own and he never took it for granted. Ash was a big reason for why he stuck around, but in order to save himself the beating of a lifetime from her two older brothers, he kept his feelings for her hidden. When the case he has been working on for months takes a turn, Ash could become the leverage the bad guys have been waiting for, but keeping her invisible may destroy everything Lucas has worked so hard for. Good thing Ash is the only person he would give up everything to protect.

For readers 18+ due to language and sexual situations.

Amy’s Review:

5 STARS!!!!!

The Brannock Siblings Series starts with a bang. In this first book we get Ash and Lucas. Two people who loved each other from childhood but could never act on it due to Ash’s overprotective brothers. Lucas is now a hot detective working for Ash’s dad, Liam, the Police Chief. I loved Ash because she wasn’t a whiny needy girl. She was real. She stepped up when needed and did what she had to do. Lucas will be one that’s hard to get over. He’s hot, sweet, smart, and really good at his job. I fell in love with him from the first time I got his POV. I love when I get to see in both characters minds and know how they each felt.

The one person that stole the book for me is the dad. William ‘Liam’ Brannock is amazing. Yeah I’m crushing on an older man. The way he is with Ash and the way he talks melted my heart. The brothers were fun to read about too and I can’t wait to see their story in the coming books.

You get a lot of mystery and action while reading. The suspense of what would happen next drove me nuts. I almost cried within the first five chapters and had to force myself not to peak at the ending to ease some of my worries.

Leverage will keep you engrossed and unable to put it down. An awesome beginning to a series that I can’t wait to finish.

Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. They fall in love and live happily ever after, right? That is unless boy is a criminal and girl is the daughter of the man trying to catch him. With circumstances this unforgiving, is there anyway their love story will have an ending that we’ve come to know as classic?

*Warning: Cliffhanger. This is the first in the series*

Jessica’s Review:

4 STARS!!!!

Xavier Neal really can write anything!

Merrick is busy enjoying his life while not so secretly wanting more. He wants someone to see beyond his fast car and the connection to the family business.
Jovi is wanting to climb out of the quiet demure box her father has always made her stay in. She’s about ready to run off to college and start making her own mistakes. All she has to do is let her dad know.
A chance encounter changes everything. Suddenly meeting the person who fills the hole you didn’t realize was there starts a string of events that no one can plan for, that has the potential to be epic or devastaing.
Classis is fast paced and well written. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, putting a different twist on the bad boy/good girl love story. Xavier Neal loves to do the unexpected and this one doesn’t disappoint.
This is my favorite quote from the book.
“I was looking for something to get me out of bed in the morning. Something to be the reds and oranges that fill my life. Something worth living for. Something more than money. More than cars. More than sex. I was looking for you.”

Jessica’s Review:

5 STARS!!!!!

His Angel is the second in Samantha Cole’s Trident series, but it’s just as good as Leather & Lace.

His Angel is Ian’s story, his path to Angie. Ian is one of the “Sexy Six Pack”, a group of retired Seals and joint owner of Trident Security. While helping one of the guys move, Ian notices the neighbor Angie. After a quick talk with Angie’s best friend, Ian gets the excuse he needs to spend more time watching her. WHen Angie is stood up by a blind date, she takes a chance and accepts Ian’s offer for dinner. Sparks fly and passions ignite. Soemtimes a fire burns so brightly that it damages everything in it’s path though.

Samantha Cole manages to create a story that completely draws you in. By the middle of the book, I wanted to know more about everyone else, not just the main characters. Mysterious Athos. Soothing Marchos. Tender Jake. Sassy Shelby. The list goes on. Each side character brings a unique viewpoint, making you realize what a well rounded book His Angel is. There are plenty of HOT steamy scenes, sweet tender loving moments, drama and oh my goodness the tears and anger! I may have wanted to throw my kindle at a certian part. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the gentlemen of Trident Security.

His plan works perfectly until one day when Parker Ryan threatens to expose his carefully concealed world.

Parker Ryan is a man without a future. Sure, he’s a partner in one of New York’s most prestigious law firms, but he’ll never be more than a failure in the eyes of his boss, his father. Rather than break away from his father’s standards, he finds himself mindlessly pursuing them, in turn sacrificing anything that would actually make him happy.

When Liam’s and Parker’s lives collide, the ugly truth about who they really are, and who they hope to become reveals itself when they least expect it. As both of their lives become wrecked beyond all belief, they’ll learn how to rely on each other in their journey to become Repaired.

Amy’s Review:

5 STARS!!!!!

I want to start this out with thanking Melissa Collins so much for not ending the book in a cliffhanger. I think I would have died. She has a way of grabbing you and throwing you in the book. Making you feel the love, hurt, pain and happiness. I can’t get enough of her work.

At about 35% of the book you get the first kiss scene. This scene was so hot and sexy I had to stop and make a Goodreads update.

I’m 35% done with Repaired: OMG! I think I just read the best kiss scene EVER.. Hot … Sexy … Sweet … I’m loving these guys.

That kiss scene has seriously topped all others that I have read. I think my heart stopped as I slowly read each work not once but three times. There were so many emotions behind that first kiss. Took my breath away.

Liam is one damaged man. Slowly learning his pain almost ripped my heart out. The progress you get of him turning his life around is amazing. How he slowly comes into the man he is meant to be. And all that thanks to Parker. I wasn’t sure about Parker at first. He was a bit of a prick. But as I got to know more about him and read their interactions together I fell in love with him. These two as a couple are the perfect fit. They compliment each other, help each other. I loved these two together. I worried through half of the book that something would break them apart but the love they shared and their different strengths kept them together. Not to mention some persistence on Parker’s part helped too.

I loved everything about this book and the characters in it. Another amazing book by a very talented author. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

5 STARS!!!!!

What could possibly go wrong, having a fast fling with the stranger next to you on the plane? Dorrie is on her own, in a new country and has a few days before the biggest interview of her life. Henry is entranced by the beauty sleeping on him, wanting nothing more than to enjoy time with a woman who doesn’t know who is is or how much he’s worth. Only their time together burns hot, lasts longer than either expected. They defied social convention and Dorrie’s employer, only to be torn apart by something more basic. Jealousy, mistrust, fear and betrayal run high as Julia Harlow spins a tale that kept me inthralled, turning the next page late into the night. I found myself cheering one chapter only to want to lecture them in the very next. Someone (not saying who) deserves a beat down! The path to love isn’t nicely paved, with clear lines and signs posted to warn you of the dangers ahead. Sometimes you have take a leap, trust that the other person will catch you or fall with you. This book captures everything you want in a romantic story. Although it’s my first Julia Harlow book, I’m excited to read what else she has out.

Kristen Anders is starting her life over again after divorcing her cheating husband. An author of several ‘vanilla’ romance novels, she spiced up her latest one involving BDSM and it became a best-seller. Now she’s researching the subject for her follow-up book and manages to get a tour of the elite, private sex club, The Covenant, and runs into the one person she never expected to see there.

Devon “Devil Dog” Sawyer is intrigued by a cute brunette he meets at a friend’s Irish pub and does something he hasn’t done in over twelve years. He asks her out on a date. While it might seem strange to most, Devon’s only relationships since he was twenty-four have started and ended in the same place–a BDSM club.

What was supposed to be a single weekend of mutual pleasure and dirty sex, turns into something more. But while they fight their growing connection, a killer has Devon in his sights and Kristen may end up as collateral damage. Will they survive with their lives and hearts intact?

This book contains adult content.

Jessica’s Review:

5 STARS!!!!!

When I started this book, I had only read a quick peek and knew I had to read it . Immediately. Samantha Cole has an ability to place you directly into the head of Kristen, a writer struggling to find her next book. She has a deadline, an idea and words that won’t flow. After all, how does a woman who isn’t good at sex write about kinky, toe curling orgasms? Her readers don’t want to read about finding her (ex)husband in bed with another woman, her lack of orgasms, inability to satisfy anyone. Inspiration hits at the local diner, in a pair of blue eyes and a strong jaw. Devon is sitting in the diner, a typical afternoon of people watching and keeping an eye on the daughter of a buddy. Watching the girl in the booth stare at him and working was enough to make him crazy trying to figure her out. While working as a Navy Seal, Devon discovered his true desires and need for control, While he was quite considerate, he was still very much a Dom and only for a few scenes.

I loved that Kristen and Devon aren’t typical or predictable. They don’t quickly fall into bed after meeting, she doesn’t swoon and immediatly ask to be dominated. They have bumps, misunderstandings and mistakes. The heat between Kristen and Devon is so freaking hot! There are surprises, danger, twists and plenty of reasons to change your panties. Every woman should have the opportunity to meet a man like Devon, to find herself the way Kristen has.

My life was meticulously planned and I refused to deviate from that path. While my peers were partying, I prepared for the future. Then a tragic event destroyed everything and I learned that while I was looking ahead, I forgot to live in the moment.
Starting over seemed impossible until I met Cara McCarthy, who lived every day like it was her last. She opened my eyes to a world of chaos and disorder. I loved every minute of it. She was also dating Tristan Adams, one of the most gorgeous men I’d ever seen.
The three of us became inseparable. Our parents were oblivious and soon lines became blurred, feelings began to grow, and someone’s heart was going to get broken. I hoped it wasn’t mine.

Review:

5 Fan-freaking-tastic STARS!!!!!

I will admit I was a little unsure when I sat down to start this book. Though I love M/M books I have only ever read one other F/F book and lets just say it didn’t go over well. Eek! Knowing this was written by Teresa Mummert made the decision to read pretty easy. I love all of her books and refused to let one bad book on the subject make me miss out on her book. The Good Girls was more than I expected. Which truthfully, I should have known it would blow my away, right? I mean it’s freaking Teresa Mummert and what book of hers doesn’t rock?

There were tons of different emotions that play throughout this book. I had moments of sadness, anger, laughter, love, and happiness. I had tears from laughing and then tears from the events that played out. It was amazing. I loved Eli and Cara. I felt for both of them throughout the book. They were both sweet and fun. Cara was a bit closed off, but I feel like Eli saw through it at times just like Cara saw through Eli’s lies.

Though I truly loved both Eli and Cara, I feel like Brody stole the book. I absolutely love that dude. Everything about him had me swooning and during some parts prayed that Eli ended up with him. I would love to see a book about Brody so that sweet man can get his HEA. He absolutely deserves it.

Let me point out again that this is a F/F book. If that is not something you are into I suggest you give it a shot anyway. This book has a powerful message to it. It’s a beautifully raw love story. One that I think everyone should read. There are some heartbreaking things that happen in this story so make sure to have some tissue close by.
