~What are you currently working on?

I have two book going right now. One is a Dark Romance and the other is a NA Romance.

~Who is your favorite author?

I love J.R.R. Tolkien, Jennifer Armentrout, Jessica Wilde, Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines, Nicholas Sparks, and so many more.

~What writing advice do you have for aspiring authors?

Never give up. If you love to write then write. Don’t let what others say get you down.

~Which of your characters is your Book Boyfriend? Why?

I loved Hunter when I was writing him but then I wrote Forever Lasting and I fell in love with James.

~Are you an organized author or scattered?

I am Scattered. There is no organizational skills here…

~Do you plot out your story or write as it goes?

I get my characters and their stories. Then I start to write and let the story go where it needs to go. I have no patients with plotting.

~Which one of your characters is your absolute favorite? Why?

James, He went through so much in his life all to go through more when we was deployed overseas.

~Which one is your least favorite? Why?

Keegan, what a butt head he is.

~Do you have any strange writing habits?

None that I can think of.

~Do you have writers block and how do you work around it?

I get writers block of a lot. In Forever Lasting James was so stubborn and didn’t want to speak to me unless I listen to Hard Rock. I just do what I need to get through the block sometimes I just walk away, and then come back.

~Do you work on 1 story at a time or multiples?

I am trying to work on two right now. We will see how that goes.

~What is your favorite genre to read?

Romance, I need a happy ever after.

~What is the most wacky/crazy weird thing you received from a fan?

I am to new yet so I haven’t received anything.

~If you could go back in time what is one thing you would tell your teenage self?

I am Dyslexic and I had a hard time adjusting in middle school. I would tell me self to keep fighting and never give up. Kick the learning disability to the curb and never let it win.  It’s the same advice I gave myself back then.

~What are your favorite hobbies?

If I am not writing I am reading or I love cross stitch

~Do you believe in love at first sight?

Yes I do. When I met my husband I knew we would be together forever.

~Name one of your pet peeves?

Chewing with your mouth open. Unless you have a cold or something you should close it. Lol

~If you were a genie, what wish would you absolutely not grant?

That I was an Avenger. How cool would that be?

~Favorite drink? Alcoholic or not.

Nope, I actually just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

To fly. I think it would be so cool to fly.

Not really some people call me Kass or Kassy. At work I get Wisconsin a lot. Just because I am from Wisconsin and now living in Florida. My accent is really Northern to the people down here.

I love them as long as they are not the scary kind of surprise.

~What’s your favorite fast food chain?

Culvers or 5 guys

~If you had a warning label what would it say?

I am overly nice and really friendly.

~If you had to describe yourself as an animal, which one would it be?

A dog, just because I am loyal and friendly.

Parasailing, I did it once in Miami and I don’t think I will ever do it again.

I worked at a treatment facility for aggressive children.

I suck at jokes. I am too nice and feel bad before I even pull them off.

Hawaii five-o and Criminal Minds. I also love the Cooking network shows like cutthroat kitchen and chopped.

I like going out to do running around but I don’t go out and party. I am too old for that stuff now.

~What are you currently working on?

I’m working on Book 3 of my Hell Series. It is currently unnamed, but I’m leaning towards “Hell and Back” or “Way to Hell”.

~What writing advice do you have for aspiring authors?

I would say to write every day. Write something, even if it’s just a paragraph. I’ve actually just sat down and written a series of words that don’t even constitute sentences some days, but it’s getting ideas down on paper that is important.

~Are you an organized author or scattered?

Scattered! Scatter-brained. Scattered as in organization. Scattered style of writing. Surrounded by the scatter of my home. LOL

~Do you plot out your story or write as it goes?

There is a very loose plot, but I am always surprised too. My characters just kind of show me parts of themselves as we go along. For instance, the angels in my stories all have superpowers. Some are the same, but each one has their own special ability too. One of my angels in Book 3 just showed me her power as I was writing it on the page. I had not thought of it before, it just came out. I love it when that happensl

~Do you have any strange writing habits?

Some people like music. Others require silence. I need to feel like I’m surrounded by people, so I turn on the tv and put on something I’ve seen a thousand times. That way I’m not sucked in by the plot, but the noise of people talking is comforting to me.

~Do you have writers block and how do you work around it?

Sure, we all get blocked at times. I get through it sometimes by writing something else, like a guest blog or a fun little story. Other times I can just change HOW I write, like go from typing to longhand. I’ve also gotten through a block by going for a drive with a voice recorder and talking out a scene while I drive. When I get home I’m ready to write.

~Do you work on 1 story at a time or multiples?

Mostly one story at a time. I have tried to write more than one but I find that I hear the voice of a project, and if I try to write in multiple voices they get confused in my head.

~What is your favorite genre to read?

I read everything from Chick Lit to Science Fiction. Right now I’m reading “The Book of Strange New Things” by Michel Faber. It’s right down my ally. It’s about a missionary whose sent to another planet to preach to another race. I find that idea fascinating.

~What is the most wacky/crazy weird thing you received from a fan?

My fans are the best in the world. They give me wonderful cards and letters and lovely gifts. As far as “wacky” I’d say my friend Gabrielle Mappone who is a fabulous photographer photoshopped this great picture of me with an angel version of me on one shoulder and a devil version of me on the other shoulder. It was absolutely perfect!! I still love it!

~What are your favorite hobbies?

I love traveling and spending time with my husband on road trips or camping in the woods.

~If you had a warning label what would it say?

My husband says it should say “No Danger! Thoughts within may be Inspirational.”

She felt his eyes scan her from head to toe more than once before he closed the distance between them and trapped her between the wall and his arms resting on either side of her shoulders. If it weren’t for the other partygoers, Gwen was certain Jeremy would take her in that very hallway. She saw the longing in his brown depths and knew hers mirrored the exact same. “You know we can’t,” she murmured against his lips.
Jeremy cradled her face in his hands and nuzzled her nose with his before tilting her head up. “Then why does it feel so right when we do?” he argued as he lightly nibbled on her lower lip. His reasoning made sense to her hazed thoughts. The way he coerced her lips with his only intensified her resolve to not let anything or anyone get between them.
Deciding one kiss wouldn’t hurt anything, Gwen met Jeremy’s lips with exuberance.
His reaction took her breath away when he eagerly slipped his tongue into her mouth to tangle with hers. He tasted like beer laced with vodka and a hint of peppermint, but to her, he still tasted like perfection. The beat of the rock song playing over the amplifier only deepened the pressure in Gwen’s body. Thankful for the crowd-reducing noise, Gwen pulled Jeremy closer yet, until he was skin to skin with her.

“Criminal law is my specialty,” he leaned in close, “so if you are ever in a bad position I’ll get you off.”

She didn’t give a damn if the freaking mailman slipped the mail right between her legs at the mail slot beneath her.

The song was almost over and he set down his guitar. Colton stood up to walked over to his computer where the songs were playing from. He was a sight to behold once again. He must have gotten a shower earlier because his hair was still damp. He had on a loose pair of shorts and no shirt. His chiseled chest was glistening from water and sweat. He just looked so smooth and well defined.
I started lightly clapping and walked in, shutting the door behind me. He turned to the sound, looking startled from the sudden noise. The song Figured You Out by Nickelback started playing from his computer.
“I, um, had Brady drop me off.” He was walking over to me, but in a slow motion, almost to the beat of the song. Colton didn’t say anything to me, just kept walking towards me.
I took a step backwards until I was up against the door. He took my hands in his and put them against the door, like he was trapping me in. His mouth came down on mine like there was no tomorrow for him. Colton was acting like he was starved for physical attention. He let go of my hands, but still kept me pinned against the door. His lips never left mine except to move down to my neck and nibble. He pressed his body tight against mine. His hands started to roam everywhere on my body. I couldn’t help but to run my hands over his naked chest and back.
We still hadn’t stopped kissing and we both seemed to be running out of breath. Colton moved his mouth to take a deep breath and so did I, except it came out more like a moan of pleasure. He was breathing hard and starting to sweat more. I’m guessing he had no boxers on as I could clearly feel his excitement pressed into me. His hands were now under the front of my shirt and moving beneath my bra. We’d done this before, but not this passionately. I had my hands on the back of his shorts and slowly slid my hands inside the waistband. I was right, there were no boxers. I’d never done anything like this before, the whole touching without any clothing barrier in between. My hands kept moving until they were cupping his bare bottom. I gripped him more firmly and pulled him tighter against me. Colton groaned inside my mouth and pulled me away from the door. He spun me, while we still kissed, and started to walk me backwards towards his bed.
A sudden knock on the door stopped us half-way there. “Mom said she doesn’t need any grandbabies now, so whatever you’re doing you better finish because dinner will be ready in ten,” Ezzie yelled through the door.
We were both still breathing deeply, just trying to catch that single deep breath that would fill our lungs to the fullest. Colton placed his forehead against mine and smiled, just a little.
“Hey,” he finally got out.
“Oh, so now I get greeted,” I tried to say sarcastically, but failed.
“You can go to dinner. I’ll be there in a couple minutes or hours.” He moved a little away from me. I could tell by the front of his shorts he was still way too excited to go in front of his family now, I think we both were.
I had to start being a little bolder. We’d been together for a little over two months. I know some people wouldn’t think that as being long, but we were together every chance we got. And being the eighteen year old, constantly sexually excited girl he has turned me into, I was relentlessly frustrated on what I wanted. I needed to move things along sexually with us, but still afraid of the unknown.
I pulled on his hand so I was shuffling backwards towards his bed. He was coming along, but still not understanding what I was doing. Please don’t make me have to spell this out for you that would be so embarrassing. I hadn’t touched or seen his private part, yet here I was playing the fearless girlfriend.
I made it to where the back of my legs were up against the side of his bed and looked up at him. I stared into his eyes and he had a look of confusion as to where this was heading. My hand was trembling as I slowly let it go below the waistband of the front of his shorts.
As soon as I did this, he got the idea of what I was attempting to do. He let out a low moan and his mouth ravenously attacked mine once more. My hand automatically begun what I’d intended to do.
Colton found his release rather quickly. I was really surprised of how easy that was and how much more excited it made me. I felt like I could’ve exploded along with him.

I never seduced a man, but I’ve read enough romance novels to know how to do it and I’m going to try. I know he wants me, Mitch says I need to let him know I’m ready. That’s the plan. Mitch handed me a book, but it’s about men, it doesn’t tell me a damn thing about me. I read the whole thing twice, but I don’t have any experience to apply it to.

The floor shakes and I know he’s on his bike and he’s home. I’m nervous and excited all at the same time. I meet him at the door and he kisses me like I’m leaving on a trip. I love it. When he stands we’re breathing heavy and smiling at each other. I pull him to the couch where I have our drinks ready, but he says he needs to have a clear head for a meeting later.

Damn! ‘The party is off?’ He pulls me to his lap and tells me no, but he needs to talk to some people there. That doesn’t sound so bad. I feel like I’m on a roller coaster with my emotions spiking and falling. I smile at him and go for broke. ‘I planned on seducing you before the party but find that all my plans are jumbled in my head.’

He looks serious. ‘I have no problem waiting until you are sure.’

‘I’m sure. I’m not willing to try satisfying myself another damn night. I don’t know how to get to where I can sleep.’

He holds my hands and lifts my chin so I look at him. ‘We can get you satisfied so you sleep for the night.’ He’s smiling.

Dammit! I pull my hands away and move onto the couch. ‘How do I get you to make love to me?’ I sign mad. He laughs, making me pissed.

He turns my face to him again. ‘Just ask.’ He lifts me up and carries me to my bedroom so fast now I’m nervous and excited again. When he puts me down he stands back and signs. ‘If you get scared or it doesn’t feel right you have to tell me. You need a way to let me know if I’m not looking at you or your hands can’t tell me.’ He’s watching me, but I didn’t think this through. I shrug and put my hands up because I have no idea. ‘You’ll want to tell me no, and then yes, you’ll feel things you’ve never experienced and want things you can’t express. You trust me enough for this, but I need to know when something doesn’t work.’

I nod and think. ‘Pinch?’

He laughs. ‘That will work, depending on whether you’re a hellcat or not.’ I don’t know what to say to that, so I just look at him. He bends and kisses me again. Everything leaves me until I feel his hands moving to my shorts. I match his movements and unzip his pants. I feel his vibration against my head and touch his face. He pulls back. ‘I moan because it feels good for your hands to be on my cock.’ I nod. Keeping my hand on his face, I slide my other hand over him and squeeze. He does it again, closing his eyes halfway. This is what the books call half-mast. I do it again and he pulls my hand away. “If you keep that up I’ll never make it in you.” I read and look at his eyes. He’s happy. I can’t help but smile. I have control over his body. I’m feeling pretty good until his hands move and my shirt is gone. That was damn quick. I’m excited and breathing heavy as his hands move up to my breasts. I’m not going to make it. She’s making sounds deep in her throat. She’s beautiful, just as I imagined, with curves in all the right places. I want to look at her, but I don’t think she’ll let me get away with that. She has no hesitation in me seeing her body and hasn’t taken her hands off me. The screaming began in earnest when the ceiling panel fell on top of Brian.
The plaster began peeling off the walls in huge chunks. The steel beams of the infrastructure started to scream with the employees. The floor started to buckle a moment later, throwing everyone and everything around as though they were toys. One by one, the windows at the end of the office exploded from the pressure of the twisting building.
Too frightened to scream, Marie managed to crawl over to Carrie’s desk. Carrie saw her friend’s head had been gouged badly by a falling object.
“What the hell is going on?” Marie demanded, her voice frightened and trembling.
“The building is collapsing,” Carrie managed to choke out.
“Are we going to die?” Marie started to cry.
“I don’t know,” Carrie admitted, guiding her friend through the twisting wreckage. “I think we’re
fairly safe out here by the windows now that they’re gone.” She spotted Brian, who was still quite aware and relatively undamaged, and yelled for him across the noise. Brian spotted them and managed to get across the office.
“Push these desks together, and we can hide underneath,” Carrie said when he reached them. “What will that do?” Marie asked.
“It’ll give us a chance,” Brian answered.
Marie nodded wordlessly and the three of them began to shove the furniture around.
They were shortly joined by a dozen other people in the office scrambling over the mess. They had several groups of desks together in short order, creating little islands to hide under. The building began to settle down a bit from its heaving. Brian, Marie, Carrie, and Bart all crawled under their group of desks.
“How did you think of this?” Marie asked.
“I read an extreme survival guide once,” Carrie shrugged.
Everything heaved again, and there were renewed cries that died when they realized it was only the building settling into its new precarious position.
“How do you stay so calm?” Marie asked, after calming down from her last screaming jag.
“I’m too shocked to react,” Carrie reasoned. “If we survive I’ll probably collapse in a fit sometime tomorrow.”
“Think it was a bomb?” Bart asked.
“Sounded like it,” Brian answered. “Buildings don’t usually collapse so spectacularly. Even if
they’re built on the rubble of another building.” He leaned over to Marie, and gently brushed the hair out of the gash on her forehead. “My, that’s lovely. That could be a real problem.”
“It’s just a little cut.” Marie moved his hand away.
“No, it’s not,” Bart agreed as he managed to rip the sleeve off his shirt. He offered it to Brian, who tied it around her head tight enough to staunch the bleeding.
Marie touched the sleeve. “So, what do we do?”
“We wait,” Brian answered, “unless we smell gas, fire, or trouble.”
Carrie barked a laugh. “Trouble? We’re sitting in a building that could collapse completely at any second, and you don’t think we’re in trouble?”
Before Brian or Bart could answer, there was a deep basso rumble beneath them. The floors andwalls began to vibrate, and whatever was left attached to the beams of the structure seemed to leap off and rain down on them. The screaming of the beams began again, and this time they knew there wasn’t going to be a way out.
The building lurched violently, sending the desks flying toward the window, exposing Carrie, Marie and Brian to the chaos around them. The three of them clawed desperately at the rubble, trying to get back under the relative safety of the desks. Marie managed to get under another set of desks, as Brian grabbed Carrie’s hand to haul her under another desk.
Carrie looked up, and saw a huge chunk of concrete getting ready to release from its precarious hold. “Brian!” she screamed, flinging his hand from her arm. The motion sent him tumbling backward into the rubble, and he landed on his back in perfect view of the block as it fell.
Brian was the only one who saw a strange, serene smile spread across Carrie’s face as the block came down directly on top of her. She was looking straight at it when it hit her. Carrie didn’t scream.


~What are you currently working on?

Penumber: Equinox. Seems like I’ve been working on it for a year. Oh, wait, I have! I’m almost done with the reedit, so here’s hoping for soon.

~What writing advice do you have for aspiring authors?

Keep writing, keep you nose clean, learn your trade! Oh, and don’t feed trolls.

~Are you an organized author or scattered?

Organized. I don’t know why– everything else in my life is scattered, like litter from the litter box…

~Do you plot out your story or write as it goes?

I am a Plotser. I get an idea, and I run with it, but usually about 4, 6 chapters in I realize I need a guide or the book is going to turn into a mess.

~Do you have any strange writing habits?

Not really? I don’t know. I’m generally strange anyway, so…

~Do you have writers block and how do you work around it?

I don’t get traditional writer’s block. I just get stuck in stories. I have two ways out of this: I either drop the story and go to another one, or I back off and reread. Both have worked well.

~Do you work on 1 story at a time or multiples?

Multiples. I always have at least 3 manuscripts I’m futzing around with.

~What is your favorite genre to read?

Paranormal. I love witches, werewolves, vampires…

~What is the most wacky/crazy weird thing you received from a fan?

I haven’t recieved anything like that yet… shall we make it a challenge? 😛

~What are your favorite hobbies?

Writing! I adore it. It’s not ever a chore for me. Aside from that I quilt and scrapbook. Quilting is so rewarding, and seeing people’s faces when you give them something you spent hours and hours making just for them. So rewarding.

Author Interview

~What are you currently working on? 

My latest story is a contemporary romance entitled, Love’s Encore. It is a story about a drama teacher and her ex classmate from a theater company. Sadie and Vince find their attraction is still strong, but the timing may not be right. If they follow their hearts, they might find their true passion.

I’m also excited about the re-release of the Moonlight and Jasmine Series. Night Magic is book 1 and A Summer’s Enchantment is book 2. It is a series set in The White Mountain Region of New Hampshire. They are stand-alone stories involving Wiccan Witches and the challenges they face finding and keeping love.

~What writing advice do you have for aspiring authors?

If you’re serious about writing, you should try to write every day. I know we all have busy lives, but try to find a way to spare at least an hour a day on your craft. You would also benefit greatly from connecting with other writers. There are wonderful writing groups with regular meetings, and it is a great place to learn. Conferences are an excellent way to network and connect with others who share the same passion. If you have a chance, look into a conference in your area. Most of all, don’t give up. We all struggle with indecision and may even feel like giving up. Stick with it. You might try specific things to make your time writing more pleasant. You can try lighting your favorite candle, playing music that inspires you, or you might do better if you work in a bright and sunny space. It is your special time, so make it work for you.

~Are you an organized author or scattered?

I’d say I’m a little bit of each. I don’t stick to a rigid schedule. I am always thinking about my story and I organize it in my mind.

~Do you plot your story or write as it goes?

I plot it before I begin. I decide on the beginning and the ending. It’s the middle that holds the most challenge and it evolves as I go along. I get to know my characters by developing them, and their goals may change as I get to know them better.

~Do you have any strange writing habits?

If you call a coffee marathon a strange writing habit, I’m guilty.

~Do you have writers block and how do you work around it?

I do get writers block on occasion. If it happens in the middle of a story, I try to remember what my characters want and why they can’t get it. It also helps to read, watch a movie, and take a walk. If nothing helps, I indulge in a sinful dessert. If I stress over it, it only gets worse.

~Do you work on 1 story at a time or multiples?

I usually work on one story at a time. The exception would be if I have a deadline and my muse takes the driver’s seat.

~What is your favorite genre to read?

My favorite genres are contemporary romance and women’s fiction.

~What are your favorite hobbies?

I love movies, Broadway, and shopping in NYC. I’m fascinated with the Victorian Era and I enjoy antique shopping for items from that period. You might also find me with my two dogs walking on a beach in Venice, Florida or Cape May, NJ.

~If you had a warning label what would it say?

Beware if caffeine intake exceeds 3 cups!

“You break something and I’ll be out of a shower.” She shrugged her shoulders again and watched his grin fade. Good she told herself. Nobody needs to be staring at that oh-so-very sexy grin. Stop it! She scolded herself.
“He’s a freakin’ cop; just look at him.” She mumbled. Then made the mistake of looking over at him where he had just taken a few steps ahead of her, so she got a good view of his back and his backside. Shouldn’t uniform pants be—not so tight? She thought to herself, just looking at that firm butt and tight muscular thighs as he walked. “Bet he works out.” She continued to mumble to herself. Yep, at a gym. A coed gym so he could be all cocky and sexy and— “Stop!” She hissed out loud to herself.
“Why?” He stopped and turned around and looked at her. Okay so maybe she said all of that a little too loudly.
“Uh…you walk too fast.” She covered fast.

What was that? Did he have the ability to pull something like that out on a whim? Yeah, he probably did. It was probably one of his many cocky superpowers that made him think he could get any girl at any time just by flashing that sexy grin and adding a hint of a blush that made him look too dang sexy for a girl’s peace of mind. He just stood there while she took the few extra steps that brought her up beside him. “So. You live alone?”
“Yeah, just me.” He started walking beside her again.
Great, she thought, another bachelor pad that will probably look like her brother’s. “What’s with guys and cleaning? Did they think someone’s gonna’ sneak in and cut off their balls if they picked up a broom every once in a while?” She mumbled.

~What writing advice do you have for aspiring authors?

Write what you know with a dash of make-believe, a pinch of “Oh Sh*t!” sprinkled with a little “ha ha” through out. And keep on writing!!

~Are you an organized author or scattered?

I want to say organized, and I try, but truly I’m so scattered. I have notes all over the house written on anything from notepads (which I bought for that purpose), to the back of an envelope or receipt and even on a paper towel.

~Do you plot out your story or write as it goes?

I write as it goes.

~Do you have any strange writing habits?

Not sure as they are not “strange” to me, but a few of my habits include candy, music and Mtn Dew. Or maybe they’re more of an addiction than habit, not really sure.  But I always have some kind of candy, right now its Jelly Belly jelly beans and Twix bites, Mtn Dew, regular not diet, and my playlist which tends to grow as I write.

~Do you have writers block and how do you work around it?

So far I haven’t had “writers block” so much as a “scene block” from time to time. Basically it’s the process of moving from one scene to the next.  That gap in between,  that can stall me out for a small amount of time until I can figure it out.

~Do you work on 1 story at a time or multiples?

I try to work on one story at a time, but most often I end up writing a scene for a future book. Right now I have so many folders saved with different scenes from about 10 future books.

~What is your favorite genre to read?


~What is the most wacky/crazy weird thing you received from a fan?

Hmmm…. See that’s one I can’t answer yet!  I haven’t been writing that long and don’t have those die hard fans that do the wacky and weird.  I had a fan that made me a wonderful you tube video about my first book.  But, I don’t consider that weird or wacky… just wonderful!

~What are your favorite hobbies?

Reading, writing, listening to music, and watching old (or not so old), shows on Netflix.

~If you had a warning label what would it say?

That is a tough one.  My best friend has said for years that I’m a “Saint” and I guess I’m pretty even tempered, and will take a lot.  But, when I lose it, and it takes a lot, so maybe, “Contents can explode when under pressure.”  Hahahaha.
